The Beginning of Everything - 'Water

This area features a circular, half-circle-shaped video theater that captures the relationship between water and humanity, from the origins of civilization using water, to urbanization driven by water consumption, the ensuing water scarcity crisis, and efforts to reconnect the broken water cycle.

1.The Birth of Water and Civilization

Introducing the four ancient civilizations that developed along major river basins and the cultural advancements of humanity through the use of water.

2.The Formation of Water and Industrial Society

Introducing water as the key resource for the development of agriculture and industry, maritime transportation, and cultural prosperity, as well as the water supply and sewage systems implemented to address the problems arising from polluted water due to urbanization.

3.Water in Korea

Introducing the changes in society's perception of water across various sectors, triggered by the beginning of tap water supply in Korea, incidents caused by inadequate sewage systems, and the chemical phenol spill from a factory in Gumi.

4.Water Shortage, The Broken Water Cycle

The disruption of the water cycle and the water scarcity crisis caused by the side effects of reckless industrialization, including the rise in global average temperatures and extreme weather patterns.

5.One Water, The Great Cycle

Introducing integrated water management technologies aimed at restoring the water cycle, including source water management, wastewater reuse, and rainwater management techniques, as well as various efforts individuals can make to help restore the broken water cycle.
